Solid programme
Solid Program brings together two powerful tracks for hip hop dancers aged 10 to 27 who are serious about building a dance career. Whether you’re still discovering your path or ready to step onto the stage—this is where you get challenged to grow.
Within Solid Program, you develop your technique, performance, and personal style, while becoming part of a community that trains, creates, and pushes each other.
The program consists of two tracks: Solid Next Gen (10–13 & 13–17) and Solid Pro (18-27). Both focused on growth, real experience, and building a future in hip hop theatre.
Solid PRO
18 - 27 YEARS | AUDITIONS: APRIL 11 2026
Solid Pro is where ambition meets the stage. This intensive 8-month development programme is designed for semi-professional and self-taught hiphop dancers between 18 and 27, who are drawn to theatre but may not yet have experience with it.
Each edition selects 6 to 12 dancers through auditions. Under the guidance of Henry O'Tawiah, participants grow as dancers while gaining real insight into what it takes to be part of a professional theatre production. The process culminates in a premiere at one of Amsterdam's established theatres.
Born from the Dancedemic initiative. Pioneered by Henry O'Tawiah around the theme of 'Corona experiences' and supported by Solid and ISH. The programme made its premiere at De Meervaart on May 8, 2022, and has since become a core part of Solid's talent development offering.
SOLID NEXT GEN
10 - 17 YEARS
Solid Next Gen is the program for the most promising young hip-hop dancers in the Netherlands, aged 10 to 17. Participants train in two age groups (10–12/13 and 13–17) under top teachers in various hip-hop styles. They develop skills, confidence, and connections that go far beyond the dance floor.
Former participants include finalists from Holland’s Got Talent and Superkids, as well as dancers who have appeared in campaigns for Nike and Adidas. Want to progress quickly and surround yourself with people who take dance as seriously as you do? Then this is the place for you.

The team
Henry O’Tawiah
Henry is known worldwide as one of the most versatile dancers and choreographers within street dance styles
He began his dance journey at a young age and it didn’t take long for his undeniable talent to stand out in the HipHop community and be noticed by Jeffrey Roberts, an iconic dancer from the Dutch Hip Hop underground dance scene.
His unique creativity and choreographic skills quickly made him a sought-after dancer and choreographer in both the theatre and commercial fields. Theatre company ISH was his first experience as a professional and later on he collaborated with other renowned theatre companies such as Cirque du Soleil and the National Ballet of the Netherlands, where he took his art to new heights.
Henry danced and/or choreographed for some of the biggest names in the music industry, including Rita Ora, Mariah Carey and Kylie Minogue.
He has also been able to shine in TV shows such as Idols, Xfactor, Dance Dance Dance.
To top it off, Henry was chosen to be part of the Adidas World Team in 2015, where he was mentored and collaborated with legends in the dance world such as Storm and Salah.
